  Delphi Evaporative Emission Canisters help limit the amount of gasoline   vapors released into the environment by reducing evaporative emissions   that occur from fuel storage and delivery in a vehicle's fuel system.   
  As gasoline vapors and condensed liquid from the fuel tank enter the   canister through the tank tube, hydrocarbon molecules in the vapors and   liquid are attracted to and stored on the surfaces of the carbon bed   inside the canister. This process is called adsorption. A manifold   vacuum draws fresh air through the carbon bed, pulling the gaseous   molecules into the intake manifold for combustion. This process is   called purging.   
  Delphi recognizes that a canister is an integral part of an effective   evaporative control system. Delphi develops evaporative emissions   canisters tailored to specific customer needs. Referitor la Skoda din semnatura, am cateva intrebari despre un dispozitiv care genereaza un sunet ciudat la mine (dupa un drum de 40min prin oras, in timpul zilelor astea calduroase, se aude un ticait accentuat care se aude din afara masinii daca ma apropii de zona unde este montat).
 
Cautand dupa part-number pe net(1J0 201 801 H), am aflat ca se numeste "Evaporative emission canister". Totusi, m-ar interesa sa aflu mai multe despre el:
- ce stie sa faca
- ce defectiuni pot aparea referitor la buna lui functionare
- cum se comporta masina cu acest dispozitiv defect sau in curs de defectare
