· Yeti stars as Škoda Auto makes debut at Qatar Motor Show
Mladá Boleslav, January 26, 2011 – Škoda Yeti will be launched on the Qatari Market in the next few months, after the popular Crossover starred during the Škoda Auto’s debut at the Qatar Motor Show.
The Yeti will be launched on the Qatari market in the next few months, expanding the portfolio of Škodas on offer. Over 50,000 Yetis were sold worldwide in the first full year of production. This contributed significantly to Škoda Auto’s 2010 record results; the company sold 762,600 cars last year, which represents a total increase of 11.5%.

The portfolio expansion represents a logical step that will support further growth of the company. Crossovers are very popular in Qatar and I believe that Yeti, being very successful in this segment, will be in strong demand,” commented Mohamed Yousri, GE of Ibin Ajayan Auto.
In the last eight years Škoda Auto has sold more than 5,000 cars in the Qatari market, making it the third largest European importer.
